Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of the ForgeInBit platform, courses, and services. We've written them to be as readable as possible — if anything is unclear, email legal@forgeinbit.com and we'll explain in plain language.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • By creating an account or using ForgeInBit, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy — which also sets out our attendance, assessment, assignment, certificate, code of conduct, content-protection, and grievance policies. If you use ForgeInBit on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

2. Accounts & Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at security@forgeinbit.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication in your account settings.
  • Accounts are personal and may not be shared. Enterprise plans include named seats managed by your organization's administrator.

3. Courses, Licenses & Certificates

  • Purchasing a course grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access that course's content for your own learning — including lifetime access to future updates of that course.
  • Premium subscriptions grant access to the full course library while the subscription is active.
  • Lecture videos are provided as protected streaming only. You may not download, screen-record, redistribute, resell, or publicly share lecture videos or any other course content. Attempting to circumvent streaming protections is a violation of these terms and may result in account termination.
  • Downloadable materials explicitly marked for download (such as lesson notes, slides, and source code on Premium and Enterprise plans) are licensed for your personal use only and may not be redistributed. Code you write while completing projects is yours.
  • Certificates are issued upon completing course requirements and remain verifiable permanently. Misrepresenting certificates is grounds for revocation.

4. Payments, Renewals & Refunds

  • All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and shown at checkout before you pay.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Individual course purchases carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. First-time Premium charges can be refunded within 7 days. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.

5. Acceptable Use

  • Do not: share or resell course content, scrape the platform, upload malicious code, harass other learners or instructors, attempt to circumvent payment or access controls, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Community spaces (forums, Q&A) must be used respectfully. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practicable.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All course content, platform code, branding, and design are owned by ForgeInBit or its instructors and protected by copyright and trademark law.
  • Feedback you submit may be used to improve the platform without obligation to you.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • Courses are provided "as is". While we work hard to keep content accurate and current, we do not guarantee specific career or salary outcomes.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForgeInBit's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. For paid plans, we will refund any unused portion unless termination was due to a material violation.

9. Changes & Governing Law

  • We may update these terms; material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance by email and in-app.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a disagreement comes up, please raise it first through our Grievance Redressal process (see our Privacy Policy) so we can try to resolve it directly — most issues get sorted out at that stage.
  • If a dispute can't be resolved that way within 30 days, either party may refer it to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator, seated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, in English. For matters that aren't required to go to arbitration (including consumer claims you're entitled to bring before a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019), the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
  • Any claim must be brought within 2 years of the event giving rise to it, and disputes are resolved individually — not as part of a class or collective action. Questions? legal@forgeinbit.com.
